This June, the KC gang packed up and took the minibus on an adventure to Glasgow! We visited the Riverside (transport) Museum, went out to a restaurant for delicious dinners and even took part in accessible go-karting! Another great part of the trip was meeting up with members of ‘Include Me 2 Club’, a charity who work with adults, children and young people with learning and physical disabilities in and around East Renfrewshire. We were all amazed by how many different projects and activities the team have set up, the latest one being the renovation of a historic building in Barrhead, now known as ‘the Hub at James McGuire Building’. If you visit www.includeme2club.org.uk , you can find out more about all of the fantastic work that our new friends are doing – very inspiring. Finally, on our last night in Glasgow, we put on our dancing shoes and met up with our Include Me 2 pals at ‘Club Late’, an inclusive club night at The Garage on Sauchiehall Street. It was great to meet new people and show off our moves in such a friendly and inclusive atmosphere – a big ‘thank you’ to the whole team!
